My first 3D cake

This cake was my first attempt at doing a shaped cake and I have to say I was thrilled with the end result. I really wanted to get the detail right, as the birthday boy's dad is a fireman! The pressure was on ;-)
I also didn't want to make the cake too babyish and steered away from Fireman Sam type cakes, as Alex turned 5 and anyone who knows a 5 year old will vouch for the fact, that 5 year olds are big boys!
