I was asked to make a cake for baby Noah, and his Mum had her heart set on an Ark. Being a Noah, it was the natural choice. I'd never made an Ark cake before so this was an exciting challenge. I did some research but failed to find a tutorial online for an Ark, so based the shape on a Pirate Ship Tutorial I found, and modified it.

The animals had to be in pairs and I loved the idea of the girl animals having a little bit of pink on them. I won't lie, the cake took hours and hours. Lots of modelling work on the animals and then of course shaping the cake. It was worth it though, as I was delighted with the end result. Noah;s Mum loved the cake and told me it went down a storm.
