Ok so this cake was a first for me, but it's one I've always been curious to try. I made 6 different layers of sponge and coloured each one. I had to do a trial run to see what the colours came out like and let's just saw I'm glad I did. My first attempt was more of a 'pastel' rainbow than 'in your face' rainbow, I wanted to the latter look so as the ole saying goes. cheesy as it is, practice makes perfect.

I was really happy with how it turned out and of course that the Birthday Boy's Mum remembered to send me a picture as I had no way of seeing what it the finished effect would look like. As soon as I posted it on my facebook page Bakedy Cake, I got an order for another one, so I was chuffed with that :-)
